ELEMIS CHRISTMAS LUNCH

BLADES AT HUSH, LONDON

PB’s editor Eve Oxberry and deputy editor Amanda Pauley were invited to Elemis’s annual Christmas lunch in central London, where they joined other beauty press for a three-course Christmas meal. Chief marketing officer Oriele Frank and managing director Noella Gabriel spoke about the brand’s successes in 2017 and gave guests a sneak insight into the launches we can expect this year.

VIP LAVA SHELLS TREATMENTS

X FACTOR HOUSE, LONDON

A VIP team of Lava Angels massage therapists visited the X Factor house at the end of the year to give contestants Lava Shells massages using Shared Beauty Secrets’ new Kokolokahi massage oils. Accompanied by founder Clare Anderson, the Angels massaged contestants including Sam Black, Sean and Conor Price, Grace Davies and Rak-Su. The distributor is currently seeking more therapists to join the Lava Angels team as it gears up for more VIP work this year.

NORVELL VIP DANCE DAY

PINEAPPLE DANCE STUDIOS, LONDON

Tanning brand Norvell hosted an exclusive dance class for beauty journalists and bloggers to tie in with the brand’s Strictly Come Dancing Sunless Tanning Collection. Attendees were talked through the BBC-licensed collection, which comprises four products, before choreographer Monika Molnar taught a ballroom-inspired routine.

PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY AWARDS EMPLOYER OF THE YEAR JUDGING DAY

PARK PLAZA WESTMINSTER BRIDGE, LONDON

PB editor Eve hosted the judging day for 2018 PB Awards Employer of the Year category in London, where the five finalist companies presented on why they deserve to win. Beauty consultants Susan Routledge and Valerie Delforge, and UR Beautiful managing director Mary Bell were among the category judges and quizzed the finalists on a list of criteria, from cash flow to career progression.

OPI CHRISTMAS PRESS EVENING

ST MARTINS LANE HOTEL, LONDON

PB’s deputy editor Amanda Pauley and assistant editor Georgia Seago went along to OPI’s Christmas press event to check out its festive collection and get a sneak peek at upcoming spring launch Lisbon. OPI educators were on hand for Gel Colour and Lacquer manicures while guests enjoyed festive canapés and drinks.
