Celeb talon spot

Artistic Colour Gloss made an appearance on the nails of several celebs last month. Manicurist Katy Rose used metallic Heart of Chrome on singer and actor Jennifer Hudson for media appearances in London, while singer Dua Lipa sported saturated red Heart and Solstice in an Instagram picture.

College collaboration

The London College of Beauty Therapy is the first college in the country to offer Evo Colour training. NVQ Level 2 and 3 beauty students will now train in Evo; an oxygenating, brush-on gel system designed to improve air permeability. Training is included in course costs. To celebrate the partnership, a classroom at the central- London college has been decked out in Evo branding as a designated learning space.

MATCH POINT

New app Nailbuff has launched to help consumers track down the exact nail colour they’re after. The mobile app allows users to upload any image or use their phone’s camera to take a new one, and instantly finds a colour match in polish form.

Nailbuff searches a database of brands including OPI, Essie, Morgan Taylor and Orly, as well as newer, under-the-radar brands. The app was developed by two sisters with backgrounds as a nail technician and beauty therapist.
