London set for a spate of innovative beauty and wellness openings in 2018

Townhouse

A series of interesting launches is set to hit London this year, as spas and salons innovate to stand out in the city’s crowded market.

Lifestyle space Cloud Twelve Club is due to open in Notting Hill in the spring, and was developed with the help of Lisa Barden, UK Spa Association vice chair and director of consultancy Barden Spa, who acted as spa and wellness consultant on the project.

The family-focused three-floor space will house a spa with five treatment rooms, a thermal suite, cryotherapy chamber, relaxation room and nail station. Brand partners include Comfort Zone and Organic Pharmacy.

There will also be a wellness clinic offering naturopathic and homeopathic treatments, a brasserie and children’s learning area.

Meanwhile, premium nail salon Townhouse is set for a February launch. The 2,000sq ft studio on Great Portland Street has been designed to give clients the ultimate nail salon experience, from super-sleek, custom-built stations that wirelessly charge mobile phones to prosecco for clients and a bespoke collection of nail art designs.

Innovation in the Capital is set to continue well past 2018, with Mandarin Oriental opening its second London hotel and spa in 2021.
