Industry remembers Louella Belle founder Lisa Crook

Tributes have been flooding in for Lisa Crook, founder and chief executive of nail and beauty distributor Louella Belle, who passed away on December 24 following an ongoing battle with breast cancer.

She built her distribution business from scratch to look after major brands including Artistic Nail Design, Morgan Taylor, Ardell and Footlogix.

Lisa Crook’s sons Darren and Jamie Crook, both directors of Louella Belle, said the loss had left “a huge hole in our world” and added, “While our mum is sadly no longer with us, we will continue her work with pride and humility.”

Layla Tourh, founder of Lashnv Lashes and communications director at The Creative Beauty Group, called her “a true inspiration”, while Artistic Nail Design Educator Jade Evangelou said: “From the moment I met her she inspired me. Her story of how she took her business from kitchen to the grand scale she did was truly amazing.”

Faye Shipley, owner at Defining Beauty in the West Midlands, spoke about her kindness, adding: “I worked for Lisa a few times at beauty shows and I was always really well taken care of.”
