OPI AW18 PERU COLLECTION LAUNCH FLORAL BY LIMA, LONDON

PB’s deputy editor Amanda Pauley, assistant editor Georgia Seago and editorial assistant Lydia Mormen attended the press launch for OPI’s AW18 Collection inspired by Peru. The event took place at Peruvian restaurant Floral by Lima, where canapés were served alongside cocktails inspired by the polish names. Manicurists were also on hand to provide guests with manis using one of the 12 new shades.

COMFORT ZONE TRAINING AND INTERNATIONAL PARTNERSHIP MEETING

DAVINES VILLAGE, PARMA, ITALY

Comfort Zone trainers were given a sneak peek at the brand’s 2019 launches during the recent international meeting at the new Davines Village in Parma, as well as trying the new treatments in its Sublime Skin Hormone-Ageing and Skin Regimen lines. The Davines Village is the new sustainable head office for Comfort Zone and parent company Davines, where products are produced in-house, with many ingredients coming straight from the onsite garden directly into the lab.

CND SHELLAC LUXE LAUNCH WORKSHOPS

More than 500 nail professionals attended one of CND’s 13 Do-Luxe Xperience days, hosted across nine locations in the UK and Ireland to launch its new Shellac Luxe line. CND education ambassadors delivered training in application and removal of the product, as well as demoing the technique and explaining the science behind the formula. Each guest received a free gift worth more than £350.

SAKS FUNDRAISING FOR EVE APPEAL

Saks salon staff from the length and breadth of the UK got involved in fundraising campaigns recently to help the group reach the halfway point of its 2020 target to support gynaecological cancer charity The Eve Appeal’s #GETLIPPY campaign. Salon staff did sponsored activities including everything from nail painting to baking and waxing to raise the cash. The company has been raising money for the Eve Appeal since 2012 and just achieved half of its 2020 target of £250,000, bringing the total amount raised in its salons so far to £125,827.

LYNTON LASER TECHNOLOGY CENTRE AND TRAINING ACADEMY LAUNCH

CHESHIRE

May 24 saw the launch of Lynton’s new manufacturing and training facilities – The Lynton Technology Centre and The Lynton Training Academy. Industry experts attended the event, which included champagne and canapés, as well as a behind-the-scenes tour and hands-on experience building, aligning and firing the lasers. The new facilities have been designed to accommodate the demand for Lynton’s aesthetic devices and training courses.
