The Professional Beauty Regional Awards will be back with a bang this year, returning as a black-tie evening gala dinner on October 21, 2018. This year’s venue is the stunning Principal Hotel, a Grade II listed building in the heart of Manchester (pictured above left).

Following feedback from finalists, the event will once again be an evening occasion rather than following last year’s afternoon tea format. The black-tie party will give guests the chance to get dressed up and celebrate with the industry in one of Manchester’s hottest venues.

As well as providing a more glamorous feel, the longer evening event will allow plenty of time to enjoy a glass of bubbly and a three-course meal before the winners are announced. There will also be several opportunities for networking with other top spas, salons and brands over a drink.

Guests will arrive via a private entrance before walking the red carpet to the champagne reception. Once called for dinner and seated, they will then enjoy a restaurant-quality three-course meal, entertainment from a professional presenter and an after party into the early hours.

Tickets sell out fast so make sure you secure yours well in advance. Tickets cost £75 + VAT per person or £750 + VAT for a table of 10.

THE JUDGING PROCESS

The finalists have come a long way to make the shortlist. All salons and spas entered online and were then scored on a wide range of business criteria by a panel of judges, all of whom are independent industry experts. The highest scoring businesses in each region go through to the shortlist.

Every finalist business is then visited by a member of the awards team, who experience treatments as a customer would and also interview the business owner. The judges then score again based on the visitors’ feedback and these scores decide the final winners, who will be revealed on the big night.
