// A wearable patch that measures hormone levels through sweat has been developed at Stanford University in the US. It can provide insight to metabolism, inflammation, memory formation and emotional stress by measuring the levels of cortisol in the body.

// Samantha Trace Cosmetics has expanded its eye and brow salon Clinic Privée, in West Sussex. The clinic has a new team of experts who are trained to offer aesthetic treatments and injectables, as well as lash and eye treatments, such as lash extensions.

// Makeup brand Airbase will be running Halloween Airbrush MakeUp courses between August and October. Makeup and body artist Katie Wrigley designed the oneday course and will teach three different looks: Evil Halloween Queen, Shifty Skull and Wicked Witch. It will run in six locations: Nottingham, Liverpool, Leeds, London, Manchester and Bristol.

// The Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) has appointed Christopher Byrne as its new president. Byrne runs a therapy practice and training school in Crewe. He takes over the role from Paul Battersby, who was president for two consecutive years.
