Therapists working in spas and beauty salons can unfortunately suffer with repetitive strain injury – especially tension in the shoulders, back and neck area – when performing demanding massage treatments.

A number of factors can contribute to repetitive strain injury, with the most common among your therapists being poor posture, incorrect technique and not stretching regularly (23%).

Choosing the right uniform is an important part of running a spa business – it impacts how your clients view the business and can affect how well therapists perform treatments. There are several things to consider when selecting a uniform, with comfortable materials (81%) and range of movement (78%) coming out top as the most important things you look for.
