// The Susan Gerrard Beauty Academy has been named a Habia Centre of Expertise, the only one in the South of England, and one of only six in the UK. The status was earned after the academy met rigorous assessment criteria and passed a site visit by an industry assessor.

// Sweet Squared is looking for techs to provide stand-out nail art using CND, Lecenté or: Yours products for its 2019 catalogue. Nail pros can be recognised by posting their work online before January 1, 2019, using the #s2nailart, for a chance to be credited in the catalogue.

// Seaham Hall Spa in County Durham has set up a shop it in a local retail park until December 31 to encourage Christmas shopper relaxation. The spa team will promote gifting experiences and perform spa party demonstrations to engage new customers.

// QMS Medicosmetics founder Dr Eric Schulte has been awarded the spa pioneer award at the World Spa Awards 2018 in recognition of his contribution to the spa and wellness industry and to the science of skincare.

// Becky Woodhouse, founder of Pure Spa & Beauty, has been selected for the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women Class of 2018. The programme identiies entrepreneurs whose businesses show potential to become market leaders. The spa group has also launched a new marketplace for clean beauty brands called The Pure Beauty Zone.
