ASTON & FINCHER YOUR SALON STORE LAUNCH

Beauty supplier Aston & Fincher held a two-day event at its head office store in Birmingham to launch its Your Salon Store catalogue, with a large new beauty offering. Customers heard about new treatments such as Brow Perfect Microblading, APG Tech Laser Hair Removal and microdermabrasion from Carlton Professional. There were also demos of nail, brow and skin treatments from Cuccio, MoYou London and Beauty Pro. Aston & Fincher plans to repeat the event format at other stores across the UK to drive awareness of its beauty academy programme.
FAKE BAKE CAMPAIGN INITIATIVE

Tanning brand Fake Bake enlisted the eight finalists of Miss Scotland 2017 to help spread the message of its new campaign – Fake It, Don’t Bake It. The group took to Glasgow’s Royal Exchange Square on July 31 to educate consumers about the dangers of unprotected sun exposure. The Fake Bake-trained finalists were also on the hunt for one Glasgow-based business to have its employees spray tanned free of charge as part of the campaign.
HIGH DEFINITION BUILD YOUR BEAUTY BUSINESS WORKSHOPS

High Definition Beauty Group held three events in the North to introduce salon owners and therapists to its businesses-boosting plan. The brand visited Newcastle, Manchester and Birmingham to host the Build Your Beauty Business events to talk to attendees about how taking on High Definition could help enhance their offer. There were brow and make-up demonstrations and individual consultations with the team.
DIRECT LINE FOR HAIR AND BEAUTY EVENT
SHOREDITCH HOUSE, LONDON
Direct Line for Business invited trade beauty press to Cowshed Spa in London’s Shoreditch House to talk about its new insurance offer for beauty and hair professionals over treatments, canapés and champagne. PB’s assistant editor Georgia Seago enjoyed an uplifting aromatherapy back massage followed by a pedicure using a rich copper shade from Cowshed’s polish line.
LASH PERFECT LASH LIFT PRESS DAY
LASH PERFECT LASH BAR, LONDON
To celebrate the launch of its Lash Lift treatment, Lash Perfect invited key bloggers and influencers, as well as press including PB’s Eve Oxberry and Georgia Seago, to experience the service at its flagship Lash Bar in London’s Soho. Prosecco and cupcakes were laid out while guests waited to try the treatment, which uses a curvature rod to achieve a bespoke curl or lift. Check out our verdict of the treatment on page 140.
NEOM CHRISTMAS IN JULY PRESS DAY

British aromatherapy spa brand Neom invited beauty press to its recently opened Kings Road boutique for a sneak peek of its upcoming Christmas gifting collections. PB’s deputy editor Amanda Pauley went along to check out the festive body care and home fragrance offer, where there was a wellbeing station set up for guests to sample healthy food and juices from Tanya’s Kitchen.
