The shortlist for the spa and salon categories is made up of the winners and particularly high-scoring finalists of the Professional Beauty Regional Awards, held in October (see page 81). All other national categories were decided following written entries, scored by a panel of independent industry judges.

Finalists in all categories will now go on to the second-round process, which varies depending on category but involves judging visits, trade tests and interviews.

The winners of the Professional Beauty Awards 2018 will be announced at a black-tie dinner in London in February, where the winners of the World Spa & Wellness (WSW) Awards 2018 will also be revealed. To find out who made the shortlist in the WSW Awards, visit worldspawellness.com/awards

The Professional Beauty and World Spa & Wellness Awards 2018 will take place at Tobacco Dock London on February 25, 2018. Tickets cost £149 + VAT per person or £1,490 per table of 10. Tickets can be booked online at professionalbeauty.co.uk/awards
