Harrods opens Wellness Clinic as separate venture from Urban Retreat

London department store Harrods is opening a 10,500sq ft Wellness Clinic as a separate venture to its fifth-floor Urban Retreat spa.

As Professional Beauty went to press the clinic was on track to open in mid May. Located on the fourth floor of the Knightsbridge store, it will offer “an integrated approach to wellness and beauty”.

It will comprise 14 treatment rooms, a consultation room, two fitness studios for personal training and a skin analysis room incorporating Vectra M3, a 3D-imaging system. It will offer a combination of aesthetic and holistic treatments including cryotherapy in the 111 Cryo chamber, and vitamin infusions administered by vitamin drip specialist The Elixir Clinic.

The Wellness Clinic will partner with a selection of high-profile practitioners, including personal trainer Louise Parker, known for her weight-loss programme The Method, and her team of nutritionists and fitness instructors.

Chiropractor and posture specialist Dr Ben Carraway is also scheduled to work with the clinic, as is acupuncturist Ross Barr, and Gen Identity, a service offering personalised skincare based on each client’s genetics. It will also host guest practitioners including the New York Dermatology Group, which will offer its signature Triad Medical Facial and Dr Barbara Sturm, whose services include platelet-rich plasma treatments.

Skincare will range from doctor-led lines such as NYDG Skincare from the New York Dermatology Group and Zamani’s MZ Skin, to brands from Harrods’s beauty halls.
