Salon Services Beautiful Britain filming
Following the release of its 2017 Beautiful Britain report, Salon Services invited a panel of experts, including PB editor Eve Oxberry, to its head office to film a series of videos about the industry reaction to the stats and trends. CEW Awards 2017
PB assistant editor Georgia attended the CEW Awards 2017, held at the Hilton on Park Lane in London. After a two-course lunch, awards were given to winners in 28 categories, covering both mass and prestige beauty brands. Pro brand winners included Elemis and Aromatherapy Associates. Classic FM DJ Myleene Klass and model Twiggy were guest presenters.
UK Spa Association networking event
Spa operators and suppliers from across the UK met in Wyboston Lakes in April for the first of Spa UK’s two annual networking events. PB’s Eve Oxberry and WSW’s Nora Elias were among the guests. For the first time, the event also hosted two seminars on the topics of training and safety. Sponsors included Thalgo, Voya and Aromatherapy Associates.
Caudalie boutique salon opening
The PB team went along to the launch of Caudalie’s new boutique and treatment room in Battersea, London. Guests were given a tour of the cosy space, designed to reflect the brand’s flagship spa in France. Wine and canapés circulated while the boutique’s therapists performed mini facial treatments on guests in the express facial bar area.
