Are you looking for a new way to show clients you’re the best at what you do? Then enter the Professional Beauty Awards by July 6, to make your mark on a national level

It’s time to put your business on the map as the Professional Beauty Awards 2018 open for entries. Celebrating salons, spas, employers and individuals from across the UK, the awards are designed to help the best businesses and practitioners make their mark in the industry and prove to new and existing clients that they’re at the top of their game. Entries are now open for therapists, make-up artists, nail technicians, nail salons, employers and aesthetic clinics. The salon and spa categories of the awards are not open for direct entries as the finalists in these categories will be made up of the winners of PB’s Regional Awards, which will be announced in October.

The national Professional Beauty Awards night brings together more than 800 top-level industry professionals in London each year to network, celebrate and recognise talent.

Why should I enter?

There are loads of great reasons to enter the awards. Here are our top 10:

1. Great press coverage

Get featured in Professional Beauty magazine and be discovered by other national and local media with support from our PR team.

2. Stand out from competitors

When a potential client or investor is sizing you up against your competitors, a business award could just give you the edge.

3. Motivate your team

Being an award-winning business gives therapists pride in what they do, boosting their motivation and encouraging them to work as a team for continued success.

4. Increase your credibility

Winning a professional beauty award is a sign of service quality for existing and potential customers.

5. Attract the best

To get the best staff in the market you need to push your business forward and get maximum recognition as a dynamic and successful employer.

6. Benchmark your business

Completing the entry form will give you a chance to look over your salon/spa from a different perspective and identify areas you could improve.

7. Network with fellow leaders

Attending the awards will give you an opportunity to meet other industry business leaders in an informal environment.

8. Get valuable feedback

Whether or not you win, if you reach the finals, the awards team can provide judging feedback to help you identify strengths and weaknesses in your business and plan for success.

9. Expand your career

The huge industry exposure that comes from winning a Professional Beauty Award can lead to new career opportunities, from collaborations to training or consultancy work.

10. Show off the silverware

Share your achievement and success by showcasing the shiny PB Awards trophy and certificate in your salon or spa.

What happens next?

After you’ve completed your online entry at professionalbeauty.co.uk/awards, a panel of independent industry expert judges will score all entries based on a wide range of criteria. The topscoring four to six in each category then make the shortlist and go through to the next round.

The second-round judgi0ons and interviews for the employers.

How do I know it’s fair?

Any judge with a vested interest in who wins is asked to withdraw from that particular category so you can rest assured that you will never be judged by someone who runs a competitor business, or a consultant or supplier who has worked with a finalist in your category. All judges sign a non-disclosure agreement.

How do I enter?

Entering the awards is fast and free. Simply complete the online form and upload some images of your business at professionalbeauty.co.uk/awards by July 6.
