Our latest survey shows significant strides for nail businesses, with treatment numbers climbing for almost half (47%) of you and 13% reporting retail growth, showcasing the resilience of nail services in the market. An average of 126 nail treatments per week also underscored the demand for expert nail care.

Clients are showing strong affinity for nail brands, with CND and The Gel Bottle the most sought-after choices – indicating that some clients might select nail business and services based on the products used, as well as highlighting the success of particular companies’ brand-awareness campaigns. In terms of nail shapes, almond and squoval remained popular choices.

Nail techs and salon owners could leverage some of these trends, exploring brand preferences and awareness, and emphasising ongoing professional development.

METHODOLOGY Insider is compiled from a monthly survey of spas and beauty salons. The people who participated represent a cross-section of the industry and were polled by email and social media from November 1 to November 13, regarding business for the month to October 31. Nail business for the Insider Nails page was calculated from data provided by salons that offer nail services among other treatments. The figures given represent the average score for each answer. Brands are ranked when mentioned by several respondents.
