In October 2023, salons experienced an upswing, with 42% of you reporting improved treatment business compared to the previous year. Retail sales remained steady for the majority, with 51% of you saying it was the same as October last year – although more than a fifth (21%) reported better retail sales, highlighting the importance of diversifying your revenue streams.

Delving deeper, we asked which treatments you found to be most profitable. Some of the responses included massage, brow tinting, hands-on facials and radiofrequency – and we’ve got all of these covered in this month’s issue.
