October saw success in the spa industry, with 68% of you reporting better treatment business than in the same month last year. Although retail sales fluctuated, a promising 30% reported growth, and maintaining a solid 68% average treatment room occupancy reflects the unwavering interest in spa among consumers.
Insights into profitable treatments revealed the significance of traditional spa treatment mainstays, with back, neck and shoulder massages, facials and body massages being mentioned the most. However, the survey revealed that there is a gap for spas to embrace some more modern methods – only 35% of respondents reported spending more than 50% of their marketing budget on digital marketing.
