Redefining Resveratrol

Caudalie’s best-selling anti-ageing range Resveratrol Lift has had a face-lift – here’s what’s new

Home to the famous Cashmere Cream and Lifting and Firming Serum, for years Caudalie’s Resveratrol Lift collection has made its mark in delivering expert formulas, backed by science, for transforming ageing skin. But this year, Caudalie has looked to molecular vertical farming to evolve its formulas – bringing back a bigger, better, more potent range to the market.

What is bio-tech farming?

In a remote area in Spain, Caudalie has worked with genetic scientists in a bio-tech lab to find a way to farm plant-based collagen. The brand discovered that collagen can synthesise on plants within a NASA-inspired light- and temperature-controlled environment.

These plants harvest type 1 collagen on their leaves (we have 28 types of collagen within the skin, collagen1 being the most prominent), and through rigorous testing found that human collagen took to it as its own.

This technology has been stabilised and used alongside Caudalie and Harvard University’s patented formula No4167935, which is a complex of resveratrol extracted from grape vine leaves, natural hyaluronic acid for plumpness and a collagen booster, which prompts skin to generate its own collagen – therefore delivering a powerhouse compound to restore skin cells.

Hero products

The collection’s hero products include the Lifting and Firming Serum. Light in texture but packed with concentrated ingredients, the serum is clinically proven to be three times more effective than UK favourite ingredient retinol* to smooth out wrinkles.

Unlike retinol products, it is also safe to use both morning and night and when pregnant. Following on to the Cashmere Cream, this feels as good it sounds. The high-tech moisturiser offers absolute absorption of the collagen1 thanks to the micro density of the molecule, which penetrates more deeply than other collagen creams on the market. In tests, 98% of customers saw more youthful results in less than 3 weeks**

As a brand that champions everything sustainable, ground-to-skin ingredients and environmental impact, Caudalie has relaunched this day and night cream with refill options which reduce packaging waste by 85%***.

REFERENCES * Ex-vivo test on ingredients association, on the thickness of collagen fibres at the serum concentration. ** Self-assessment on the new Firming Cashmere Cream in 18 days compared to those achieved in 56 days with the old formulation. *** All figures calculated åaccording to internal estimation based on annual quantity in 2022. Estimated amount of plastic used in the manufacture of the refill versus the sales jar.
