May 2023 was a strong month for the spa sector, with growth in treatment business, which a huge 67% of you said had improved since last year. Retail business has also been flourishing, with a remarkable 72% of you reporting a year-on-year increase in sales.
Aromatherapy Awareness Week fell in the second week of June, so the practice was a popular topic among our readers – with demand for more aromatherapy-based education sessions at the PB shows showing up in survey responses.
Among aromatherapy scents, citrus oils emerged as the top choices, favoured by 43% of respondents’ spa guests. Lavender followed closely at 38%, known for its calming properties, while 19% preferred the energising scent of eucalyptus.
