In celebration of Eve Taylor London’s 60th anniversary, the brand’s limited-edition Satin Smooth Body Oil ticks all the boxes

Eve Taylor London has been at the forefront of aromatherapy since its inception in 1963, producing essential oil-based skincare and body therapy products for beauty therapists around the world.

To commemorate its 60-year anniversary, the brand has launched a new, limited-edition product, Satin Smooth Body Oil; a luxury textured body oil to moisturise and condition all skin types with a blend of nourishing lipid-rich oils and a blend of aromatic oils to inspire the senses.

Observing the increasing demand for grass-roots aromatherapy products, the brand knew the diamond anniversary was the ideal opportunity to create something extra special that can be used by everybody without being targeted to specific conditions like other body oil formulations within the range.

The brand is best known for its Soothing Aromatic Serum, a hand-blended synergy of essential oils in a base of cold-pressed oils to nourish the skin, collectively soothing and conditioning the skin’s tissues while simultaneously imparting balancing effects to the senses.

Back to grass roots

The very first product created by its founder Eve Taylor in 1963, this serum has gone on to be the brand’s top-selling formulation, while being simultaneously manufactured as an additive for another company for over 30 years due to its unrivalled effects and unique aroma.

Being such an iconic formulation with decades of success, it was the natural choice to include this aromatic synergy within this limited-edition anniversary body oil.

What’s in it?

Satin Smooth Body Oil has been created using a combination of luxury textured cold-pressed base oils, selected to intensively moisturise and nourish, while rapidly absorbing to give the ultimate skin conditioning.

One of the star ingredients in the formulation is soya oil. This multi-action oil boasts a multitude of properties from antioxidant actions through to antiinflammatory effects.

Abundant in omega 3 and 6, vitamin K, amino acids and triglycerides, it reinforces the skin’s moisture barrier, helping to keep skin supple and pliable, making this oil an ideal choice for nourishing dry, mature skin and for those experiencing skin changes from the menopause.

The blend also includes avocado oil. Derived from avocado seeds it is rich in oleic acid, vitamin E and lutein carotenoid. Its soothing components calm itchy skin caused by lipid dryness, while boosting epidermal layers with emollience, trapping and increasing moisture and promoting skin suppleness.

The limited-edition body oil is also infused with the time-honoured essential oil synergy regarded as the coveted aroma of Eve Taylor London. Geranium, eucalyptus, cypress, lavender, and sandalwood oils are hand blended using the brand’s expert technique and allowed to harmonise for several weeks before being added to the cold-pressed base. This blending process allows for a greater aromatic yield while potentising the therapeutic actions for increased skin benefits.

Synergistic effect

While each essential oil has its own individual effects, the collective actions of these super botanicals are what gives the blend its iconic status. The synergy of oils soothes the skin, helping to reduce visible skin redness and associated irritation while giving a subtle cooling sensation to further calm feelings of skin sensitivity.

This blend also offers calming effects on the emotions, with the oils praised anecdotally for balancing the senses and giving a feeling of comfort during times of low mood, taking the edge off feelings of anxiety and offering an all-round relaxing feeling of contentment.

Body oil benefits

With the market for body oils gaining traction as more and more consumers look for formulations that not only nourish and moisturise but smell amazing too, Satin Smooth Body Oil ticks all the boxes.

Its rich yet easily absorbed formulation offers full-body moisture and lasting skin softness without a greasy after feel, allowing it to be used as an alternative for those who prefer not to use moisturising lotions or body creams.

The versatile actions of this aromatic elixir lock in essential moisture following a shower or bath and may be applied in both the morning and evening, leaving skin feeling supple and satin smooth with a satisfying glowing sheen.

Those with normal skin will benefit from its moisturising actions while drier skins will experience a more even texture, with rough patches evened out and nurtured. This body oil can also be mixed into an existing body moisturiser to further enrich its texture for those with dry skin, or to add the opulent aroma of the essential oils, allowing you to wear it like a scent.
