LIFT, FIRM, AND TIGHTEN the jawline

As we age, laxity around the lower face becomes a real issue. The team at Lynton outlines the technologies you need to help clients sculpt a defined jawline

As one of the central pillars of the face, the jawline can create a more defined profile and bring harmony to the face. For decades, facial contouring has been huge in the world of make-up, thanks to its ability to add definition.

With the rise in social media trends for a sculpted jawline, clients are now searching for facial contouring that is a more permanent than strategically placed bronzer to sculpt the jawline.

The good news is there is now a range of non-invasive solutions to meet the rising demand. By using Lynton’s Focus Dual’s powerful combination of radiofrequency microneedling and high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU), practitioners can create a more defined jawline while maintaining a natural appearance.

The ultimate jawline lift

Radiofrequency microneedling and HIFU independently have seen substantial success when sculpting the jawline but together they offer an even more powerful treatment approach. Radiofrequency microneedling technology creates both physical and thermal stress in the dermis, resulting in the proliferation of growth factors, which power the creation of new strong collagen to lift, firm, and tighten.

HIFU goes a little deeper to the superficial musculoaponeurotic system (SMAS) – this is the layer a surgeon physically lifts in a facelift. HIFU remodels and rebuilds the deteriorating SMAS to give skin back its snap.

RF microneedling with vacuum

Treating the jawline can be tricky due to the contours of the face. The Focus Dual’s radiofrequency microneedling handpiece has added vacuum suction to help hold it securely in place, offering a stable and secure treatment application. The vacuum suction delivery system also helps the microneedles to penetrate evenly into the skin to give uniform heating from the radiofrequency, creating instant contraction of collagen to tighten the jawline and create the coveted chiselled effect.

HIFU to firm and tighten

A HIFU face lift creates deep focus points of energy in the dermis and SMAS layers to lift and tighten skin. The results can be immediate for an instant jawline lift. As the skin’s wound healing response is triggered, the skin naturally tightens over time, and results continue to improve for up to 12 weeks post-treatment. Around the jawline, it’s not just skin laxity we need to target, but excess fat cells as well.

For facial treatments, the 4.5mm cartridge delivers a heat burst directly to fat cells, triggering apoptosis (cell death) in double chins and sagging jowls.

Safe and effective sculpting

Available exclusively on the Focus Dual, the Safety Assist Transducers (SAT) emit HIFU waves in a unique pattern that avoids unwanted overlap in the surface tissues. This technology offers increased comfort during treatment, so much so that no anaesthetic is required and it is genuinely comfortable for the client. Not only that, but treatments have virtually no downtime.

Working together, radiofrequency microneedling and HIFU offer a powerful solution to redefining the jawline with a natural finish.
