No-shows and last-minute cancellations in the beauty industry have always been an issue, and it seems the challenge isn’t getting any easier. When we asked you when most of your salon cancellations happen, just under half (45%) said on the day of the appointment, while more than a quarter (27%) said, typically, one day before.
Despite these alarming figures, treatment business in February was up 41% in comparison to your bookings for the previous month.
It seems stocking product houses that have a story to tell is important to salon owners, with more than a third (34%) stating they stock UK heritage brands. Find out how this can make a difference in our UK brands feature on page 63, which outlines some of the best professional brands that have British roots and how they have evolved in recent years.
