@clmobilebeauty:

 “Thank you to @pro_beauty once again for updating us all [on local lockdown rules]. It is also important to recognise we must support businesses in regards to regulations and not apportion blame.”

@skinstudiofacialist:

“Interesting read – ‘Half of UK women suffer with dry skin during menopause’. So much more available to women in skincare and treatments now. Great to have industry icons in their 40s and 50s bringing more awareness.”

Beauty business: this is how you can safely recycle your PPE

Upasna Kular, owner of Omarosa Beauty and Laser Clinic, Birmingham, commented:

“Fantastic idea about recycling the personal protective equipment (PPE). It has been bugging me how much plastic is being thrown away and will be ending up in landfill sites.”

Emma Smith, owner of The Great Bentley Retreat, Essex, commented: “The bigger story should be that the manufacturers of these products should fund [the] recycling – when we have no choice but to wear them, why should we be paying for disposal? There should be some Government support with drop-off points at supermarkets.”

THIS MONTH WE ASKED YOU…

Will you be using the Government’s Job Support Scheme when it launches in November?

55% YES

45% NO

England's plastic straw and cotton bud ban comes into force

Louise Doherty-Roberts, beauty and health therapist, commented: “Wow, like we haven’t got enough laws keep popping up every other day. All the bloody masks left killing wildlife that people leave lying around, you think that’s good for the environment? They stop one problem and cause extreme others.”

Lorraine Polkinghorne, owner of The Hair & Beauty Room, Berkshire, commented: “At last! I stopped using plastic cotton buds years ago. There are lots of other options out there. We all have to help save the planet.”
