Help clients put their best foot forward – with a peeling pedi and new CBD face treatment

Guinot Foot Peeling Treatment

Guinot’s new foot-focused treatment uses the skincare brand’s Longue Vie Pieds Treatment to create a more comfortable, soft and youthful appearance for your clients’ feet. The key ingredients of sweet almond oil, shea butter and pro vitamin B5 help to protect, nourish and soothe the skin while also strengthening the nails.

The two-phase treatment begins with Skin Renewal, which involves exfoliation using Peeling Gel to soften the rough patches and slough away dead cells on the bottom of the feet. Once the gel is applied, the feet are wrapped in booties to allow it to get to work. The therapist then uses the curved part of a spatula to scrape the excess peel and dead skin away, before polishing the skin using the pumice paper part of the spatula.

Phase two is Rejuvenating, in which Guinot’s Longue Vie Pieds Treatment is applied to the whole foot to stimulate the cells’ vital functions to regenerate cutaneous tissue that may have become damaged due to friction, dehydration and age.

Guinot recommends charging £30 for the 30-minute treatment. Contact the brand on 01344 873123

Grass Roots CBD Facial

Grass Roots Skin is a new brand from training provider SkinTres and its first trearment is Grass Roots Facial – the first CBD facial procedure to be endorsed by Cibtac. The 10-step treatment uses a range of cosmeceutical CBD skincare and active ingredients to leave the skin nourished, hydrated and refined.

Suitable for all skin types, the facial begins with a consultation and double cleanse with the AHA Cleansing Wash and AHA Skin Tonic to prepare skin, before Super Glow Miracle Oil is massaged in using the brand’s Black Obsidian Gua Sha tool to reduce swelling and inflammation and to accelerate toxin absorption and increase circulation.

The oil is then removed using damp cotton pads followed by a second application of the skin tonic to balance the skin’s PH and make sure it is oil-free. Next, the face is manually exfoliated and an enzyme peel is applied to help fight acne and minimise the appearance of pores. After five to 10 minutes, the peel is removed with cotton pads and Grass Roots Skin Tonic. Skin Drench Super Serum is then massaged in, focusing on the face, neck and décolletage.

An LED mask is then placed over the client’s face using a light therapy colour suitable for their skin type. The facial finishes with the relaxing Grass Roots Skin Retinol Eye Refiner and Retinol Repair Cream applied around the optical bone.

SkinTres recommends charging £129 for 90 minutes. Call the company on 01663 632032
