SKIN REGIMEN LAUNCH
ACE HOTEL, LONDON
The super-cool Ace Hotel was the venue for the launch of Skin Regimen, which used to be a line by Comfort Zone but is now a standalone brand aimed at millennials. PB’s Eve Oxberry and Amanda Pauley dropped by to hear from general manager Brian Brazeau, and Somi Arian, founder of brand strategy consultancy Cookie Media, who spoke to the salon and spa owners in the audience about marketing to millennials and serving them as customers.

Murad’s senior director of NPD, Kristen Robinson, flew in from the US for the launch of the brand’s latest product, Rapid Age Spot Correcting Serum. The Professional Beauty team went along to find out more about the causes of pigmentation and age spots, and how Murad’s NHP-3 technology – included in the new product – helps enhance radiance and brighten skin tone. Guests also had fun creating Murad Boomerangs for social media against a branded balloon wall.

Black Skin Directory founder and aesthetic therapist Dija Ayodele held a Q&A event on March 29 to dispel myths about skincare in the black community. A panel of aesthetic doctors – Bhabjit Kaur, Barbara Kubicka and Rikin Parekh – answered questions from the audience before guests, had the opportunity to talk to them over wine and canapés. Topics included misconceptions around sunscreen and improper use of hydroquinone.
VIP SEMINAR FROM DR YEHUDI GORDON
IIAA HEADQUARTERS, LONDON
The International Institute for Antiageing (IIAA) entered into the new operational year with a seminar at its headquarters from bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT) expert Dr Yehudi Gordon on March 14, the first of a number of VIP seminars for IIAA skin professionals. Gordon spoke on menopause and healthy ageing and shared the latest research on BHRT.
SKINCEUTICALS MASTERCLASS

Cosmeceutical brand Skinceuticals held an evening expert masterclass to launch its newest product, Glycolic 10 Renew Overnight. Chaired by Dr Uliana Gout, the session focused on integrating skincare into an aesthetic practice and combined interactive discussion with live patient assessments. Gout was joined by Skinceuticals chief executive Leslie Harris, as well as Dr Stefanie Williams and Dr Benji Dhillon, who discussed the importance of evidence-based skincare in clinics.
