Making clients aware of the dangers of certain DIY and at-home treatments is always a hot topic in the industry, and this is especially true in the nails sector where damage caused to nails can be painful and long lasting. Unfortunately, over half of respondents [60%] in this month’s survey said they’ve experienced clients attempting to do their own gels or acrylics. This could indicate client education as a focus for nail techs in order to dissuade clients from cutting corners and to promote client loyalty.
When it comes to which treatments clients have been leaning towards this season, the trends predictions featured in last month’s issue have proven correct, with minimal and classic looks coming out on top – natural-looking nails have been the most popular with clients for 59% of you, while a variation on a classic French tip came in second at 22%.
