With demand for both personalisation and minimalism on the rise, could new bespoke skincare concept Lesielle® be the answer?

The demand for bespoke and personalised skincare solutions is continuing to rise, with more and more consumers seeking targeted skincare products that cater to their specific skin concerns while also offering multiple benefits. And with the trend towards skincare minimalism, the focus is on using only a few high-quality products that are more effective than a multitude of products, which can be overwhelming and counterproductive.

Leading the change in the world of personalised skincare is Lesielle. This pioneering brand has set out to revolutionise the industry by streamlining the process of customising skincare solutions, making them more effective and affordable.

The brand, founded in Spain in 2016 by pharmaceutical scientist Rubén Rubiales Vázqueza, has quickly made a name for itself in the UK market under the leadership of Roy Cowley, founder and managing director of 3D Aesthetics.

At the heart of Lesielle’s philosophy is a commitment to using only necessary ingredients in its formulas, resulting in clean and minimalist formulations that are also more sustainable. Additionally, Lesielle’s headquarters operates using 100% renewable and clean energy, demonstrating the brand’s dedication to environmental responsibility.

Lesielle’s mission is to provide effective and affordable customised skincare solutions to all. Using Lesielle’s mixing device, clients can easily blend their chosen active ingredients and bases, creating a tailored product that perfectly suits their needs. This innovative approach eliminates the need for complex skincare routines and endless product choices, making it easier than ever to achieve optimal skin health.

Jon-Paul Hoy, lead educator for Lesielle UK, says: “Simplified skincare routines are trending on social media at the moment, so having the easy-select option via the app is going to help clients and businesses. People love technology-led gadgets and it’s great for busy clients. Everything is 100% customisable and you can change that seasonally, daily or environmentally.”

To achieve a bespoke skincare solution that best suits clients’ skin, the process starts with an online consultation questionnaire to determine specific skincare needs. Lesielle’s advanced algorithm then identifies the best products and ingredients to combine, using the brand’s unique approach of separating the cosmetics into bases and actives.

Bespoke bases

Lesielle’s bases are designed to provide the right hydration level for each skin type, which is crucial for healthy skin. It avoids generic labelling formulas like “for all skin types” or “for mature skin.” Instead, each base is specifically formulated for a particular skin type to provide optimal hydration.

“We understand that everyone’s skin is unique, which is why our foundation range offers a variety of options to cater to different skin types, including those with sensitive skin,” says Joanne Leahy, Head of Training at 3D Aesthetics. “We have four to five bases available for each skin condition, with the option to include SPF and choose from a light or nourishing texture.”

She adds: “If you have particularly sensitive skin, we have a dedicated, sensitive line that includes all of our base options tailored to delicate skin needs. Our range of options allows you to customise your skincare routine, whether you prefer a light base with SPF for daytime or a nourishing base without SPF for the evening.”

The key to effective skincare lies in using active ingredients. Lesielle understands this and uses only the most scientifically recognised active ingredients. However, using highly concentrated amounts of active ingredients and combining them as needed has been challenging for traditional cosmetics due to technical limitations. To overcome this challenge, Lesielle has developed the trademarked Isolated Formulation method to overcome this challenge.

Active blend

Lesielle’s actives range consists of 16 actives including retinol, niacinamide, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and ferulic acid. “There are several actives you can add and each works with different lines,” explains Hoy. “For example, we’ve got an active line with retinol, vitamin C, vitamin A and peptides. We’ve got an antioxidant line with some great ingredients – again, peptides, niacinamide and ferulic acid, which is one of the most powerful antioxidants. There are also glycolic and salicylic acids.”

Lesielle’s unique approach involves separating each active ingredient into isolated containers, stabilising them, and blending them with the base ingredients to create a tailored skincare solution. This method allows for endless fresh combinations of active ingredients, resulting in a much more effective skincare solution than many traditional cosmetics.

With the Lesielle mixing device, therapists can select a base that best suits their client’s core skin condition and add up to four active ingredients to create a personalised cream tailored to the skin’s needs on any given day or season. With a wide range of bases and actives to choose from, the possibilities for customised formulas are virtually endless.

Lesielle’s approach to personalised skincare not only simplifies the process for therapists and consumers but also ensures the products used are specifically targeted to each individual’s skin concerns and needs. With Lesielle, achieving healthy, glowing skin has never been easier or more personalised.

Point of difference

Lesielle offers many benefits to both businesses and clients. For businesses, offering the skincare can be a revolutionary new concept that sets them apart from competitors. The company also provides free training by credible skincare experts, giving businesses the knowledge to deliver expert skincare advice to their clients.

Introducing Lesielle into a treatment offering can provide an extra revenue stream for salons and clinics. Moreover, businesses can enjoy stronger customer loyalty through tailor-made advanced skincare and a one-stop solution, as they no longer need to stock multiple skincare products.

For clients, Lesielle offers a truly personalised and adaptive skincare solution that puts them in control of their skincare. They can choose the ingredients they want, creating a one-stop solution for all genders without needing to purchase multiple skincare products.

Lesielle’s skincare products are developed by pharmacists, engineers, and designers, making them more effective due to higher percentages of active ingredients. Endless fresh combinations are possible because of the Isolated Formulation technology, where each active ingredient is contained separately, able to create unique combinations.

Lesielle’s skincare products only contain the necessary ingredients, reducing the need for preservatives and perfumes. The products are also affordable, portable, and easy to use, and the device is sleek, compact, and space-saving.
