This month’s Insider survey reveals that salons’ retail sales are improving compared to the same time last year – and it’s also an improvement on last month’s figures.
A promising new study released has revealed that 71% of Brits want to buy retail products from salons [read more on page 11]. However, the study also showed that only 33% do purchase products from salons – suggesting that there may be room for improvement in both retail techniques and availability of online salon shops.
Another potential area for growth is the number of men in the beauty industry, with our survey revealing that only 6% of respondents have male therapists on their teams. This isn’t a complete surprise in our female-dominated market, but one of the best things about this industry is its openmindedness – and it’s important that potential male therapists know there’s a place for them too.
