How to enter PB London’s Nail Competition
Our two-day Nail Competition, in association with the Federation of Nail Professionals, gives both students and nail professionals the opportunity to show off their skills across eight categories as they compete to take home trophies On Sunday, March 5, competitors can enter in three categories: Competition Nails (professional), Shape of Your Art (professional), where entrants create extreme nail shapes and designs, and Learn a Skill (professional and student), in which you watch a live skill demo from leading tech Kirsty Meakin, learn the skill and then repeat it with your own twist.
On Monday, March 6, both students and professionals take part in three categories:
Salon Nail, Gel Polish, and Manicure. There are also two Off the Floor categories – Insta Nails, where you submit an image you would be proud to showcase on your business Instagram page, and Catwalk Showcase, where competitors create 10 press-ons, showcased in a box with a clear lid, which may also be decorated. All Off the Floor entries are to be sent to the Professional Beauty office by February 24. Enter at professionalbeauty.co.uk/competitions
How to enter PB London’s Make-Up Competition
Professional Beauty is again collaborating with leading make-up artist Lan Nguyen-Grealis to bring you the Make-up Competition at PB London.
For those who specialise in bodypainting, the theme for the category this year is The Greatest Painters of Our Time.
Editorial MUAs are challenged to create an Iconic Show Look, inspired by Alexander McQueen’s Savage Beauty exhibition, held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in 2011.
This year’s Film theme is all things Disney, with MUAs asked to create a modern character from a recognisable Disney cartoon.
Off the floor, MUAs can submit entries to the Image Awards, for which you must create a photo that screams bold, fun and colourful, and the Creative Influencer category, with global entries accepted, centred around a theme of AI Future, as we ask what you imagine the future of beauty will be.
Judges include celebrity MUAs Joy Adenuga and Armand Beasley, creator and author Yasmin Heinz, Glow Up’s James Mac, and many more. Enter at professionalbeauty.co.uk/competitions
