INSIDER SPA
Like the beauty salon industry, the spa sector is also experiencing a recruitment crisis. Interestingly, the top three most successful methods of recruitment are the same in both industries, with spa directors also favouring online job advertisements (46%), referrals from existing staff members (23%) and forming links with colleges (15%).
Finding the best quality therapists is also of concern to spa directors. In terms of what you are looking for in your prospective recruits’ applications, relevant experience is seen as the most important factor by 85% of you, followed by training qualifications (61%). Finer details like adding personal touches and cover letters are seen as less important aspects of applications, with only 35% and 31% of you saying that these would make a CV stand out.
