INSIDER BEAUTY

Our exclusive monthly benchmarking stats for each sector of the market

The recruitment issue is still ongoing in the beauty industry, so it’s no surprise that many of you have turned to multiple methods of finding new staff.

Although online job advertisements and referrals from existing team members remain popular methods of attracting new talent, the use of specialist recruitment agencies has reduced somewhat, with only 5% of you reporting that this is your most successful method of recruitment.

For existing staff members, new legislation has ruled that they should keep all of their hard-earned tips. This is something which most of you already put into practice. Interestingly, 13% of you split tips evenly between all staff members. You can read more about the new law for tipping on page 16.
