A lot of nail looks have been predicted to be big this year but according to your techs, who are seeing nail clients day-in-day-out, aurora (13%), bejewelled pedis (11%) and intricate oceanscapes (8%) are the nail art designs that customers will love and be booking in for most this season.

With this in mind, many of you have been looking at your pricing structures and adjusting them accordingly. As it stands, 55% of you price your nail art by a full set and 45% charge per finger.

With innovations happening throughout the nail industry all the time, more than a quarter (27%) of you think brands should launch more gender-neutral lines to stock in salon, after the recent success of singer Harry Styles and rapper Machine Gun Kelly’s nail polish lines. The people who participated represent a cross-section of the industry and were polled by email from January 5–13, regarding business for the month to December 31. Nail business for the Insider Nails page was calculated from data provided by salons that offer nail services among other treatments. The figures given represent the average score for each answer. Brands are ranked when mentioned by several respondents
