Do you want to put your skills to the test? Then take part in our prestigious Nail and Make-up Competitions at Professional Beauty London on October 17–18

How to enter PB London’s Nail Competition

We’ve collaborated with The Federation of Nail Professionals (aka “the Feds”) – an industry body for the nail sector set up by leading session tech Marian Newman (pictured) – on our two-day Nail Competition at PB London this year.

The 12 categories are: The Perfect Manicure, Commercial Nail Art, UV Gel-polish, Learn a Skill, Salon Enhancements, Full Cover Tips, UV Gel Enhancements, L&P Enhancements, Bridal Challenge, Educator Skills Challenge, Instagram Photographic and Media Themed Statement “press-ons” in a Box.

Our Nail Competition categories have been shaken up to highlight the ever-evolving nail industry, with new categories that focus on creating looks for social media and replicating nail art-based on demonstrations performed at the show.

“this year, we’re partnering with Professional Beauty, which we’re very excited about. So many things have changed – mindsets have changed, how things are being done have changed, approaches have changed – and we want to do the same thing with the Nail Competitions at PB London,” says Newman.

How to enter PB London’s Make-up Competition

This year’s Make-up Competition welcomes all skill levels, from students and industry novices, to Muas who have been working in the field for years. Make-up artist Lan Nguyen-grealis (pictured) is hosting the competition and has helped us create categories that will allow you to showcase your skills in application and be in with the chance of being crowned by the judges.

Categories this year will cover key themes such as Bridal, Film, Editorial and Body Make-up, with more details on each brief on the Professional Beauty website. These categories have been designed to reflect the ever-changing industry skills needed for today’s MUA.

There will also be a team of seasoned industry judges who will be reviewing your work, making it a fantastic opportunity for feedback and critique from the sector’s best Muas. This is your chance to meet and learn from the best in the business.
