What did you do during lockdown to support salons, clinics and therapists?

“We were keen to keep in touch with our database of clinics, and help them to navigate through this extremely tough time of business closure. We launched a campaign called 3D PPE (prepare, protect, educate), providing advice and resources on preparing for their clinic’s return to work; protecting their staff and clients; and educating clients on the measures they had taken to adapt during this pandemic. We had a great response and were praised for providing help on how to access resources such as educational webinars and financial aid.

“Once clinics had a firm opening date, we launched our Business Stimulation Initiative, allowing clients to introduce new equipment at huge 40% discount, while paying just £50 per month for the first six months. This allowed them to kick-start their business upon reopening, with minimal financial risk.

“One clinic owner has only paid £200 for her machine to date, and has turned over more than £35,000 post lockdown. We also provided our clients with a one-to-one Facebook marketing telephone consultation worth £250 to help them to promote their treatments.”

What ongoing changes have you made to support them since reopening, and throughout the pandemic?

“More than 200 clinics have taken advantage of our Business Stimulation Initiative and we have extended this exclusive opportunity until the end of this year.

“Following the challenges of Covid-19, we have also embraced the opportunity to positively adapt to a new, more efficient, more environmentally friendly way of supporting our clinics, which includes all training via Microsoft teams, and one-to-one video-call appointments with a business development manager.”

What do you think will be the key trends that drive the salon/clinic market in 2021?

“Along with clinics carrying out more online services such as virtual consultations, equipment suppliers will have to adapt their ways of doing business. In-house visits from a brand rep can be replaced by a zoom meeting, training courses can be held online. It’s all about efficiency for the client. At 3D, we have reshaped our business model entirely.

“People will not be parting with their money so easily so clinics will also want to ensure that the brands they are taking on are financially secure and will be around in the future to provide after-sales support.”

What innovations can we expect from 3D-Aesthetics in 2021?

“2020 has forced us to think outside the box and run our business in new ways. 2021 will see 3D dominate the beauty and aesthetics industries due to being able to provide quality, results-driven equipment, without compromise, at highly affordable prices.

“We have re-modelled our business in a way that allows us to cost save in other areas, meaning we can offer our quality, high-specification devices at a low capital investment.

“We have also been working hard behind the scenes on a major company overhaul which will see the brand image transformed when we launch our rebrand. Our new website has been under construction, along with an impressive new corporate brochure which will launch in the new year.”
