Image Skincare targets growth via NPD and specialist teams

Image Skincare has outlined plans to invest heavily in its product development and service offering in a bid to boost the brand’s reputation globally.

This year the brand has extended its vitamin C range, adding two products that encapsulate the ingredient in new delivery systems, while overnight masks that treat acne and pigmentation are in the pipeline for 2019.

“Our latest water burst technology encapsulates four types of oil and water-soluble forms of vitamin C into a bubble, along with hyaluronic acid and peptides, helping to treat acne, ageing and drying in a more effective way”, said chief executive and founder Janna Ronert.

Ronert added that the brand’s sales force and customer service team will be one of the key separating factors in global growth as all are now trained aestheticians. “It costs a lot more but you get a lot more, and this level of support is unique”, she said.

Working with accounts to educate clients on the difference between professional and over-the-counter products is another key focus. “It’s a challenge…separating yourself from the retail market as more consumer products are trying to become more clinical”, said Ronert. “The endconsumer needs to be highly educated in ingredients and sourcing.”

Bondi Sands enters UK professional marketc

Australian tanning brand Bondi Sands has launched into the UK professional market. Its professional spray tans are in more than 2,000 salons across Australia and New Zealand and the retail products have been available to buy in the UK for several years, but until now the brand has never launched into the UK salon market.

Since becoming available to pros in April, UK brand manager Tiffany Legg said around 400 orders have been placed online from salons, spas and mobile therapists wishing to trial the tan.

“We’re now looking for a central London location to be the flagship salon for things like events and press appointments”, she added.

There are four Bondi Sands Professional Solutions – Light/ Medium, Dark, Ultra Dark and Liquid Gold – each with aloe vera extract and a coconut scent.
