FEATHER LIGHT

By OPI educator Belinda Price using OPI Lacquer from the SS18 Lisbon collection

STEP 1 Apply OPI Bond Aid, base coat and two coats of a turquoise like Closer Than You Might Belém

STEP 2 Using a fine art brush, start to draw the feathers with three lines in soft white Suzi Chases Portu-geese

STEP 3 Use the same brush to create lines coming from the “spine” of the feather with delicate pink Lisbon Wants Moor OPI

STEP 4 Repeat with the white, building up layers of fine, feather-like strokes. Add more pale pink if desired

STEP 5 Use a very small amount of a rose gold like Made It To the Seventh Hill among the feather strokes. Apply top coat to finish – try matte for a modern, soft look

TASSEL TRIMS

By Carrie-Leigh Allen using Artistic Colour Gloss from the brand’s previous winter 2017 collection, Cyber Punk

STEP 1 After base coat, apply two coats of a muted pink gel polish like Vortex Vixen, cure, add Glossing Top Coat, cure, remove inhibition layer and buff

STEP 2 Using a fine detail brush and a black such as Swag, paint lines and tassels then cure

STEP 3 Use the large end of a dotting tool with navy I Need Space to add dots to the lines. Freeze cure for a few seconds if necessary

STEP 4 Using the same dotting tool and soft grape Beam Me Up, add dots next to the first set. Freeze cure if necessary

STEP 5 With the smaller end of the dotting tool and silver Heart of Chrome, add more dots next to the others, fully cure and finish with Glossing Top Coat.

TRANSPARENT EFFECT

By Nail Harmony educator Jessica Davis using Gelish from the SS18 Royal Temptations collection

STEP 1 Apply a thin coat of Foundation Gel and cure for five seconds

STEP 2 Using a mini striper brush, apply a lilac shimmer like All the Queen’s Bling across the free edge and a mint green like Ruffle Those Feathers three quarters of the way up the nail, leaving negative space in between

STEP 3 If you need to, use a short, flat nail brush to clean up and sharpen your lines. Cure and repeat

STEP 4 Use a marbling tool to apply three small, even dots of metallic teal My Other Wig Is A Tiara in the negative space and cure

STEP 5 Apply Structure Gel over the full nail to provide balance and structure. Cure, then apply Top It Off top coat and cure again.
