So, it’s no wonder that more than half of you are planning to upskill in the next 12 months to meet this growing demand for high-end, fashion-forward designs.

Looking back over January’s business performance, treatment revenue was up on last year, with you performing on average 37 manicures and pedicures per week, and that healthy figure could be down to the fact that walk-in clients only have to wait five to 10 minutes to be seen. The people who participated represent a cross-section of the industry and were polled by phone from February 1–8, regarding business for the month to January 31. Nail business for the Insider Nails page was calculated from data provided by spas and salons that offer nail services among other treatments. The figures given represent the average score for each answer. Brands are ranked when mentioned by several respondents.
