SCAMP AND DUDE
In October, nail treatment businesses showed a mixed performance. While 23% of owners reported a boost in treatment business compared to last year, 34% saw a decline. Retail sales were also a challenge, with 57% seeing little change and 38% reporting a dip.
Client demographics reveal that the 41-50 age group visit you most frequently, with 55% of nail businesses seeing this demographic return most often. This suggests a prime opportunity for businesses to upsell to this group. When it comes to customer service, 83% of you have a plan in place for dealing with complaints, which is crucial for maintaining client satisfaction and loyalty. However, add-on services remain an area for growth. The majority of salons (55%) currently sell add-on services to fewer than 10% of their clients, presenting an opportunity for owners to introduce more upselling strategies to increase average treatment value.
