Mac masterclasses
Mac Store Carnaby Street, London
Kezia went down to the Mac store to attend two masterclasses. The first was with senior artist Carly Utting exclusively for professional tutors and covered some of the hottest trends we will see in makeup in 2025, one of which was ‘soft grunge’, which Utting demonstrated on her model, using mixed metals. It was fascinating to hear from tutors teaching makeup about issues concerning their students.
The second masterclass, led by Natalie Price and Zakiyah Shani, was for Black History Month and demonstrated two looks with some of Mac’s best products and shades for skin of colour. Shani did a gorgeous soft glam with a cool-toned palette on her model to demonstrate that cool colours can work wonderfully on deeper skin tones while Price went for a more skin-focused dewy base with a glossy red lip and copper highlights.
