PB’s deputy editor Kezia Parkins and content writer Ellen Cummings attended the launch of Refectocil’s new lash and brow tinting system and trend service, hosted by Salon System’s brow expert Lisa Stone and Refectocil global head trainer and make-up artist Marlene Szutner, who had travelled over to London from Austria especially for the launch.

Hair & Beauty Charity Spring Party
Egg London, London
PB’s charity partner, Hair & Beauty Charity, held its first ever spring party at nightclub Egg London in April. Well-known professionals from the hair side of the industry, including Nick Irwin, Desmond Murray and Stacy James, were on the decks, having applied to the charity’s call out for industry DJs.
Throughout the night, the charity took over the club’s loft and outdoor terrace. The teams from PB and sister mags Aesthetic Medicine and Hairdressers Journal were out in force supporting the event, which also included signature cocktails and dancing until the early hours.
Voya discovery breakfast
The Allbright Mayfair, London
Seaweed-focused skincare brand Voya hosted a breakfast event at The Allbright for its new skincare and lifestyle launches. The founders Mark and Kira Walton were in attendance to tell attendees, including PB’s Kezia, all about their brand, how it started and its commitment to sustainability.
Nutritionist Emma Bardwell was also in attendance, discussing the skincare and nutritional benefits of seaweed – the core ingredient in many of Voya’s products harvested from the Irish coast. It was incredible to watch the new Renewal Eyes Seaweed Eye Masks transform from a solid seaweed into a soothing and malleable gel-like mask in front of our eyes.
Dermalogica John Lewis pop-up launch
John Lewis Oxford Street, London
The Dermalogica Sky Lab took place on the rooftop of John Lewis’s flagship store, as the public were invited for skincare education, mini treatments and more.
Upon arrival, guests, including PB content writer Lollie Hancock, were greeted by the team and enjoyed a Dermalogica-themed cocktail before being taken to meet with a personal skin therapist, who analysed her skin to recommend products and a mini treatment.
Next up was a masterclass session, where guests learned about the latest launches and were able to ask the experts all their burning skincare questions before being taken to the treatment cabin, where Lollie tested an exclusive 20-minute Nanoinfusion lip treatment.
Oxygenetix Make-Up Masterclass
Urban Retreat, London
To celebrate the launch of Oxygenetix’s Oxygenating Concealer, PB’s Lollie and Ellen attended a make-up masterclass, hosted by Lan Nguyen-Grealis, where they were able to try the products for themselves. After being introduced to the brand by Nguyen-Grealis, the MUA shared why the brand’s foundation has been a staple in her kit for years, and why the new launch has already secured itself a spot.
The team then tested the range, guided by Nguyen-Grealis and her assistant, Yong-chin Breslin, winner of BBC’s Glow Up season four, who were on hand to give application tips and tricks for the best results from the products.
