All in THE EYES
Meet Tatti Lashes – the lash and brow brand that’s expanding fast across the UK and Europe
Tatti Lashes was founded in 2017 by Charlotte Tiplady and Elliot Barton - two lash technicians from Liverpool who owned their own respective salons. Charlotte, who had a thriving clientele for classic lashes, started to see a demand for Russian lashes as they were so new to the market. With demand high and treatments being so time consuming, she found this wasn’t profitable to her business and made her limited in terms of the other treatments she could offer within her salon.
Alongside her best friend Elliot, also a lash technician, she started with the idea of pre-fanned lash extensions. The duo wanted to create a service and product that catered to their existing clients but took less time without compromising on the finished look. Not only was the concept more profitable, it filled a gap in the market.
Professional focus
In addition to Tatti Lashes’ thriving portfolio of strip and individual lashes, which are loved by make-up artists and celebrities across the globe, almost 50% of the business is now made up by a professional lash extension offering for beauty professionals. 2022 saw the brand enter a new category – brows – via its Oh So Pro collection of professional lash and brow tints with accessories.
Tatti Lashes’ pre-fanned Russian lashes remain the brand’s number-one best-selling product across the entire brand and are one of the key points of difference to its competitors – not only do they cut treatment time for lash technicians, they allow them to create a service that is more profitable to their business.
Tatti Lashes works with an impressive roster of beauty professionals, educators, make-up artists and celebrities around the world. The lashes have graced the eyes of beauty icons such as Kim Kardashian, Megan Fox and Ariana Grande, to name a few. The brand is forever evolving and prides itself on bringing new technology to the lash category to ensure it leads trends rather than following.
Sustainable solutions
With innovation and sustainability both important factors in its 2023 mission, and to follow on the success of bringing one of the first biodegradable lashes to market alongside beauty TikToker Abby Roberts in 2022, Tatti Lashes has just redesigned all its lash tech trays to be 100% plastic free, using recyclable materials alongside brand-new updated, improved lash fibres.
In addition to its extensive lash and accessories offering, Tatti Lashes continues to pave the way for lash education via an extensive variety of educational lash training courses online and via its leading academies in Liverpool, Glasgow and Leeds, with a total of 12 different course offerings.
The training courses are designed for aspiring lash technicians wanting to train in classic or Russian lashes as well as refresher courses for established lash technicians who are looking to rejuvenate their skillset and learn new techniques. The company also recently launched an accredited combined lash and brow online course, covering everything you need to become a fully qualified Tatti Tint & Brow stylist.
Tatti Lashes is easily available online and offline – not only can the products be purchased online via the website tattilashes.com, which ships to 93 countries across the world, but the brand holds retail partnerships for its strip lashes with Superdrug, Pretty Little Thing and ASOS in the UK, and in Marionnaud & ICI Paris stores across Italy, Switzerland, Eastern Europe and the Netherlands. Tatti Lashes will be further expanding offline in Spain and Portugal later this year also.
