Gellux Autumn 2020

It seems that coronavirus lockdown has affected clients’ treatment habits, with 10am (21%) now the busiest time for manicures and pedicures, followed closely by 11am (11%). Before lockdown, evening slots were the most sought-after as clients tried to get their talons done after work, but a preference for these earlier slots could be the result of customers working from home now with more flexible hours, or due to some people still being on furlough.

Age-related nail ridges are the issue that you treat in salon the most (56%). These usually occur longitudinally down the nail plate. However, you’ve also seen an increase in habit-tic (15%) - a series of horizontal ridges which are usually the result of habitual picking of the proximal nail fold; as well as beaus lines (5%) - horizontal ridges that normally affect all 10 nails.
