Making sure your spa is in the black financially while you try and get your operation back to normal post-Covid-19 has been tough, so it’s not surprising that more than a fifth (21%) of you have applied for extra funds via industry campaigns like Beauty Backed, which is providing essential monetary aid to the sector. This kind of support is vital for many spas which are losing, on average, £423 per month in revenue as a result of the ongoing restrictions on saunas and steam rooms.

However, positives for the month of August include a 50% increase in spa day bookings since the face treatments ban in England ended, as well as Saturday coming out top as your busiest day for appointments, with facials (70%) the most booked-in service.

If you would like to learn more about the skin condition rosacea and how to treat it effectively in spa, turn to page 63.
