SALON & SPA OWNERS’ CONVENTION IRELAND

RDS, DUBLIN

The Professional Beauty Ireland exhibition played host to the first Salon & Spa Owners’ Convention. Chaired by PB’s head of editorial Eve Oxberry, a line-up of esteemed industry names shared experiences and tips to help and inspire fellow beauty business owners.

Speakers included Kieran Fowley, director of the Zen Lifestyle group, Hellen Ward, CEO of Richard Ward Hair and Metrospa, and keynote speaker Sharron Lowe who showed delegates how a “mind makeover” can boost business success.

CODAGE BREAKFAST LAUNCH

THE NED, LONDON

PB’s assistant editor Georgia Seago was invited to a breakfast at The Ned to discover French skincare brand Codage. Co-founder Julien Azencott talked through the brand’s bespoke pharmacy-style concept and key products, while Alana Chalmers, director of Codage distributor Harpar Grace International, spoke about her plans to target high-end spas and clinics with the brand.

BEAUTY MEETS WELLNESS INTERACTIVE FORUM

MILLENNIUM HOTEL, LONDON

The Global Wellness Summit hosted an interactive roundtable event on its new initiative, Beauty Meets Wellness. World Spa & Wellness editor Nora Elias was there to take part in discussions on the connection between beauty and wellbeing, which included talks on industry innovations, current areas of research and consumer insight. Other guests included Christine Stossier, assistant medical director at Vivamayr medical clinic, and Marian Hook, director of training at Espa.

KAREN BETTS BREAST CANCER AWARENESS AFTERNOON TEA

FORTNUM & MASON, LONDON

Karen Betts, managing director of Nouveau Beauty Group, High Definition and K.B Pro, hosted an afternoon tea at high-end London department store Fortnum & Mason in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. PB’s deputy editor Amanda Pauley was among those invited to hear Betts speak on her charity work performing medical tattooing for cancer patients.

KATHERINE DANIELS TREATMENT LAUNCH

PROFESSIONAL BEAUTY OFFICES, LONDON

Katherine Daniels co-founders Donna Tait and Kirsti Shuba visited the PB offices in September to introduce the team to the brand’s latest product and treatment launches. Tait demoed the new Instant Effect Eye Mask Treatment – using the eye masks of the same name – on assistant editor Georgia, and talked through the brand’s Christmas candle and gift-with-purchase clutch bag.
