This year there were four categories – three of which were for students. Asta Kiske took home the Real Beauty Pro award for her “winter bride” look, featuring soft, feathery lashes and a rosy lip.

The Real Beauty Student award was won by Karolina Sobczyk, who created lightly frosted skin and dark, high brows. The Runway Student category had the theme 20th century fashion designers and was scooped by Aoife Singleton for her colourful, paint-splattered look.

Finally, Shay Wakerley took home the award for Body Painting Student thanks to her winning look inspired by the Chinese Manchu dragon.

Judges for the competition included experienced, high-profile make-up artists Maria Malone-Guerbaa, Paddy McGurgan, Róisín Leacy, Debbie McQuillan and Nuala Campbell.

The Warpaint Championships run three times a year as part of the Professional Beauty shows in Dublin, Manchester and London and are organised in association with Professional Beauty’s online sister title Warpaint.
