Give clients a fun, standout look for high summer using Bio Sculpture Gels

STEP 1 Apply Bio Base and cure for 30 seconds

STEP 2 Apply two layers of No.1 French White and cure for 30 seconds between each layer

STEP 3 Create a leopard print design using the Spot & Swirl Tool with No.130 Royal Highness and No.2017 Liquorice, then cure

STEP 4 Use Soft Gel to build slightly over the nail art, then cure

STEP 5 Finish with Evo Gloss Top Coat and cure

Italian nail brand Faby worked with designer Isabell Kristensen for the launch of her Royal Ascot couture collection in May. Models’ nails were painted with nude shades Naturally and Sensual Touch to complement the soft colours of the collection. Kristensen herself opted for pastel pink Ciao Belle, from the brand’s I’m Faby collection

After qualifying in Nail Technology, I worked at the champagne nail bar in Harvey Nichols, and then OPI in Selfridges. Eventually I wanted to freelance and get into session work, so I started working with fashion photographers doing test shoots. That led to editorials, advertising campaigns, events and working with celebrities.

Having my own range of nail lacquers was one of my main career goals. The colours are influenced by designers and seasonal trends. The fun part is creating the names – I really enjoy being creative with it and thinking outside the box.

Soon I’ll be introducing gel polish and a whole range of care products such as hand and foot creams, cuticle oil and polish remover.

I got into Fashion Week work by assisting Sophy Robson, Katie Jane Hughes and Jenny Longworth. That eventually led to my first solo job as lead manicurist at Fyodor Golan.

The best thing about working with fashion designers is the opportunity to set a nail trend for that season, but it can be really stressful when models arrive late.
