The Salon of the future

The very first Professional Beauty SALON & SPA OWNERS’ CONVENTIONS will launch this autumn. Make sure you’re there to futureproof your business

Conventions

HOW SHOULD YOU EVOLVE YOUR BRAND to stay relevant in a competitive market? What motivates “millennial” therapists and clients? Where should you cut costs and where should you invest in this uncertain economic climate? Find the answers to these and more vital questions at PB’s first Salon & Spa Owners’ Convention.

While there are many business events aimed at spas, until now there’s not been an executivelevel conference in the UK that gets to the heart of the salon market. But that’s about to change. This autumn, Professional Beauty is offering salon owners, managers and senior therapists the chance to engage with experts in the specific field of beauty and hair salon management.

The theme

“The salon of the future: futureproof your business by staying ahead of the trends in customer spending, technology, product development, marketing and retail”.

The dates

Dublin: September 24, RDS, Dublin, Ireland

Manchester: October 8–9, EventCity, Manchester

The topics

The changing face of your salon team: How to manage millennials and understand their motivations; filling the skills gaps; creating the leaders you need to drive your business.

How clients will spend in the future: Trends in product and treatment development; serving the younger client; retail KPIs for an ecommerce world.

The new wave of social media: Adjusting your social plan to your target market; how to measure success on social.

The growing importance of branding: How to stand out in an increasingly crowded salon market; living the brand you’ve made.

Futureproof your finances: Where to cut costs and where to invest; benchmarking your business.

The speakers

A host of respected salon and spa owners will share their experiences. Confirmed speakers include:

• Hellen Ward, managing director of Richard Ward Hair & Metrospa in London

• Kieran Fowley, director of awardwinning Scotland salon group Zen Lifestyle

• Melissa Evans, group spa director of Spa Experience by Better (formerly Spa London)

• Becky Woodhouse, chief executive of Pure Spa & Beauty
