LPG lymphatic drainage event

Allbright Members Club, London

LPG hosted an expert panel event in Mayfair where Dr Tasmin Lewis, founder of Wellgevity, Flavia Morellato, lymphatic drainage expert, Professor Christophe Hausswirth, clinical research director, and Nathalie Paradis, physiotherapist and LPG expert, spoke about the importance of lymphatic drainage and how LPG Endermologie can help.

PB’s deputy editor Kezia Parkins went along to learn more about the technique, which she developed a personal obsession with since being diagnosed with lipoedema, which impacts the lymphatic system and causes pain and swelling. The panel shared insight into some clinical studies in which lymphatic drainage and use of LPG specifically were shown to dramatically improve recovery times from injury, surgery and aesthetic treatments. They also discussed how the treatment is even built into the healthcare system in other countries such as France, where the benefits of lymphatic drainage are far more respected.

Alma Studios opening party

Alma Studios, London

Aesthetic device brand Alma partied the night away to celebrate the launch of its new office, training and event space, Alma Studios, which overlooks St Paul’s Cathedral in London. The event had the dress code “glam” and was given a Studio 54 theme, complete with a dance floor and a bar with themed cocktails. Entertaining the guests – who included Professional Beauty Group’s editorial assistant Erin Leybourne – were a variety of performers, including some stunning disco ball dancers, a DJ, and a live saxophonist. The studio’s treatment rooms are decked out with a selection of Alma’s devices, and the brand has also created a bespoke training and education programme to benefit those clients who travel to the studios.

Dermalogica Pro Collagen Banking Serum launch

34 Bloomsbury Street, London

PB’s senior content writer Ellen Cummings went along to an exclusive event to celebrate the launch of Dermalogica’s new Pro-Collagen Banking Serum. Attendees were invited to unlock the bank of collagen in an interactive and educational session, where Dermalogica’s experts shared insights into the innovation and ingredients behind the launch, including collagen amino acids, carnosine dipeptide and antioxidants, which help to protect collagen by defending against free radicals. Activities included a personalised skin consultation and treatment recommendation, followed by a heist where attendees had to collect the clues throughout the educational talks in order to unlock a bank vault – revealing education manager Candice Gardner and a bottle of the new serum to take home.

Salon Services Professional Hair & Beauty Awards

The Century Club, London

Salon Services hosted its very first Professional Hair & Beauty Awards and PB’s Ellen attended alongside the team from sister magazine Hairdressers Journal. Hair and beauty professionals, expert judges, creators and press gathered to celebrate influential products and brands at the event, which was hosted by beauty journalist and entrepreneur Ateh Jewel. Winners among the beauty product categories included the Professional Beauty Systems Eyelash and Eyebrow Tint, Refectocil’s Lash and Brow Tint, OPI’s Gel Color range and the 2AM Hema Free Gel Polish range.
