F&F

As salons across the UK adjust to the Covid-19-secure way of working, adhering to the Government’s social distancing rules and protocols doesn’t come without its challenges. Although everyone working in the industry understands the importance of wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following the rules strictly, it’s not surprising that 46% of therapists find it uncomfortable wearing a face covering all day, while 44% feel the same about visors.

Meanwhile, the treatment clients are most excited to have with you again is a facial (19%), which may in part be to so many people now suffering with maskne (mask-induced acne) as a result of wearing a face covering. Find out how you can treat this skin condition on page 62.

Also, more than a third (35%) of you have, or are planning to, extend your opening hours so you can see more clients per day, while more than half (56%) have had to increase their treatment prices to make up for nearly five months of lost revenue.
