Spotlight Scentered

Modern aromatherapy brand Scentered is the latest name to join Gerrard International, distributor of Jessica, BeautyLab and Spongellé, and owner of the Mii group of brands.

With its philosophy to restore lifestyle balance naturally, Scentered offers just two types of product: aromatherapy balms in a stick format and candles in two sizes. Each is scented with one of six aromatherapy blends, which are mixed to have specific effects on the mind and body.

De-Stress is a balancing, uplifting blend of chamomile, neroli, mandarin, rosemary, sweet Brazilian orange, jasmine, mimosa, rose, lavandin and cedarwood. Sleep Well blends 14 oils including palmarosa, ho wood, ylang ylang and bois de rose to help clear the head and quieten the mind for restful sleep.

Focus awakens the senses and focuses the mind with peppermint, rosemary leaf, clary sage, spearmint, bergamot, cedarwood, patchouli and thyme; and Love has notes of orange, clove, jasmine and vanilla. There’s also Be Happy, a blend to inspire joy and positivity with pink grapefruit, green mandarin, tagette, lemon myrtle and more; and Escape, an exotic blend including oud, frankincense, amber, vanilla, cinnamon and burch.

The rich, nourishing balms come in all six fragrances and have a base of moringa and shea butters to deliver long-lasting fragrance on the skin, while the candles – available in the De-Stress, Escape, Be Happy and Love scents – are made from sustainably sourced natural waxes with pure essential oils for a clean burn.

“Wellness is such an important driver of the spa industry and clients are becoming more aware of the healing benefits of aromatherapy,” says Susan Gerrard, chairman of Gerrard International. “This is an opportunity for modern aromatherapy to fit within our busy lives. The product range is simple to understand, will add value to a customer’s journey and can be integrated within treatments as well.”

Taking on Scentered will also allow the distributor to give its salon accounts another retail opportunity, just in time for the festive season, adds Gerrard: “People can carry the therapy balms in their bag or light the therapeutic candles in their homes or when travelling, and use them whenever they need to feel energised, or at bedtimes to help relax and sleep.”

The mask, formulated for oily and combination skins, also contains polylactic acid in the form of biodegradable polishing beads to exfoliate. It claims to work in 10 minutes, reducing shine and improving skin texture.
